Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission seeks an Events Shift Manager for the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex in Landover. You will oversee day-to-day operations of events, supervising staff and ensuring safety and customer service.

Position is seasonal/part-time, primarily December to May, with heavy indoor track season and weekend events. Requires strong leadership, reliability, and flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Aufgaben

• Manage and supervise event staff, including assigning tasks, breaks, and ensuring adherence to event protocols.
• Run shifts effectively, maintain a shift log and provide updates to Event Managers.
• Monitor event flow, ensure timelines are met and address issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with Park Police to maintain a safe environment.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems during events with sound judgment.
• Work independently and make decisions with minimal guidance.
• Adapt to varying pace of different events, from track meets to gymnastics.
• Ensure the venue is clean, organized, and ready for each event.
• Maintain availability for nights and weekends; attend required trainings.
