Job summary

Life Enriching Communities is seeking an Events and Programs Specialist to plan, develop, and coordinate engaging activities for residents and families at Wesley Glen in Columbus.

The role emphasizes wellness, creativity, and teamwork within a not‑for‑profit senior living setting, with day shifts, weekend rotation, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in social or recreational programming in health care setting working with residents
  • Dementia experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and care coordination tools
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and coordinate events and programs for residents and families
  • Organize volunteers for community activities
  • Prepare activity assessments and MDS per regulatory requirements and complete Caretracker participation
  • Arrange transportation to events, programs and field trips as needed
  • Implement passive exercise and wellness programs on nursing units

Schedule
  • Full-Time, Days including a weekend rotation
  • Part-Time, Days, every other weekend

You, our Ideal Candidate

You are responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating events and programming for the resident and family members. Creating an environment that is conducive for wellness and fun throughout the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Participates in planning and leads creative community events and programs of interest to residents and families
  • Organize volunteers
  • Prepares activity assessments and MDS for each resident according to regulatory requirements and completes participation in Caretracker
  • Assists with arranging transportation to events, programs and field trips as necessary
  • Implements passive exercise and wellness programs on the nursing units
Requirements
  • CNA certification preferred
  • 2 years of experience in social or recreational programming in health care setting working with residents Dementia preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with demonstrated creativity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
