Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Specialist Events Parking Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and manage parking and transportation logistics for campus events and visitors. You will serve as the primary contact for organizers and campus partners, developing customized access plans that ensure safety and customer satisfaction.

Under minimal supervision, you will oversee event-day operations, maintain records, generate reports, and support administrative tasks across Transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of related experience required.
• Driving record must meet University guidelines to drive University vehicles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience coordinating events, parking operations, or transportation services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed parking plans for campus events coordinating with event organizers, facilities management, and internal departments.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for event-related parking inquiries and provide professional customer service.
• Utilize parking management software and GIS tools to support event planning and data analysis.
• Maintain event records, billing, invoicing, and reconciliation documentation; analyze data for efficiency improvements.
• Support policy development and ensure operations comply with departmental guidelines and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
