Qualifications

Job Description

Work Location: US Remote, Eastern Time Zone preferred

The Events Manager will drive Evident's business objectives by leading the planning, execution, and optimization of events in the Americas region, including trade shows, marketing seminars, internal meetings, and customer-facing events. This role will play a critical part in supporting regional sales and marketing goals, ensuring alignment with global strategies, and delivering high-impact event experiences that drive ROI. The role also includes supporting global strategy through knowledge sharing, best practices, and collaboration with regional leads to ensure consistent brand presence.

Job Duties
  • Lead the planning and execution of Americas regional events, including trade shows, customer events, internal meetings, and marketing seminars.
  • Oversee logistics, design layouts, cost estimates, staffing, and pre-show activities, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Coordinate on-site operations and oversee post-show evaluations to continuously improve event effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with local vendors, venues, and event partners to optimize costs and ensure quality.

2. Internal Events and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Support internal events, including sales kickoffs, leadership meetings, and training sessions, aligning content with broader business objectives.
  • Work closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging and goals.
  • Coordinate speaking engagements and internal presentations to strengthen team alignment and engagement.

3. Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Manage regional event budgets, tracking spending to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Review regional event requests, ensuring they align with business strategies and adhere to corporate guidelines.
  • Provide regular budget updates to leadership to maintain financial transparency.
  • Ensure all trade show leads are promptly entered into Salesforce for ROI evaluation and appropriate follow-up.
  • Track and report on lead volume and quality, providing actionable insights to improve future performance.
  • Work closely with sales teams to ensure effective lead follow-up and campaign alignment.

5. Policy, Compliance, and Best Practices

  • Implement policies and SOPs related to trade show and event programs, ensuring consistency and compliance with corporate standards.
  • Support ongoing training to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Develop and share best practices across regional and global teams, creating a cohesive approach to event planning and execution.

6. Comprehensive Planning and Strategic Alignment

  • Develop and execute an annual Americas event plan, including attendance, logistics, budget, staffing, and other critical aspects.
  • Support global event planning by sharing insights and best practices to drive consistency across regions.
  • Act as a liaison with global marketing leads to align on key strategies, share lessons learned, and ensure a unified approach to major industry events.

7. Global Strategic Support

  • Partner with global marketing leaders to align regional event strategies with overall business goals, ensuring consistent brand messaging and global impact.
  • Provide input on global event planning, including support for major global conferences and cross-regional campaigns.
  • Contribute to the development of global event playbooks and standardized processes to streamline execution and improve ROI.

8. Event Technology and Innovation

  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions for lead capture, event management, and post-event analysis to improve efficiency and impact.
  • Support the development of digital event experiences as needed.

9. Other Duties

  • Undertake other related duties or projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the commercial event organization.
Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience required.


Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience in corporate or event marketing, with a focus on B2B marketing. Experience in microscopy or scientific industries is a plus.


Skills:
• Proven experience managing revenue-generating campaigns, both for events and across various digital channels as related to events.
• Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across regional and global teams.
• Strong analytical skills for tracking and optimizing event ROI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and event management platforms.
• Adaptable, customer-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.): Domestic and international travel ~25%
