Sacramento River Cats is seeking an Events Intern in West Sacramento, CA for a part-time, hourly role at $16.90 per hour. You will gain hands-on experience in event coordination, vendor relations, logistics, and on-site operations for a variety of ballpark events.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in event management, hospitality, communications, PR, business, or related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Availability to work mornings/evenings or weekends as per schedule.
• Previous event or hospitality experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and coordinating meetings, conferences, events, and programs.
• Research potential clients, vendors, entertainment, and materials.
• Maintain event timelines, checklists, calendars, and communications.
• Respond to routine participant inquiries.
• Prepare event materials, signage, and day-of itineraries.
• Activate locations throughout the ballpark.
• Coordinate communications with organizers, vendors, sponsors, attendees.
• Provide on-site support with setup, registration, guest assistance, vendor coordination, breakdown.
• Collect attendee feedback and help prepare post-event reports.
• Perform administrative duties and other event-related tasks.
