Job summary

Eataly Houston is seeking an Events and Education Lead to manage public and private events, cooking and wine classes, and special receptions. The role reports to the Marketing Manager and supports the Chef during classes and events. You’ll set up venues, manage registrations, and build ongoing client relationships to showcase Italian gastronomy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planning.
• Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills.
• Outstanding professional communication and editorial skills.
• Proficiency in Italian language preferred.
• Knowledge of Italian wine and gastronomy.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and executes public and private events including cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, buyouts, press events, tastings and private receptions.
• Support the Chef during scheduled classes and events by anticipating needs for La Scuola guests.
• Setup dining area with floorplan, silverware, glassware, and marketing materials.
• Prepare La Scuola workstations with ingredients and equipment for each guest.
• Serve meals during events and note dietary accommodations and courses.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen area and coordinate with the Chef for next phase.
• Execute side work and closing duties including restocking beverages, aprons, napkins, and utensils.
• Help with storage organization and other projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as required including setup of food stations for events.
• Writes and monitors class descriptions; creates registration pages online and manages contracts.
• Fosters accountability and collaboration across departments when planning events.
• Builds and manages client lists and relationships.
