  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs and stand or bend for long periods
  • Will work 30-37.5 hours per week; attendance on scheduled days
  • Experience in a fast-paced event environment and handling tickets/sales

Job description

Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for an Events Set Up Coordinator in Bardstown, KY. This is a temporary opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career. As an Events Set Up Coordinator you will set up and take down events.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist and support Event Manager in setting up and breakdown of events, cleaning of venues and customer service with clients
  2. Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors
  3. Assist in event details and aspects, including seating, dining and overall guest experience
  4. Collect payment from clients and complete proper event reports
  5. Maintain all venues (both indoor and outdoor) before, during and after events - this includes general cleaning, restrooms, laundry and other duties as assigned
  6. Address potential problems that may arise in a calm and polite manner
  7. Keep accurate records of ticket sales and visitor statistics for reporting purposes.
  8. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to stay informed about park policies, safety procedures, and historical information related to the museum.
Qualifications:
  1. MUST be available to work weekends, Friday-Sunday, schedule varies and could work until midnights.
  2. Valid driver license and reliable transportation required
  3. Previous experience in customer service, events, catering and bar services
  4. Must be able to lift 25 lbs., bend or stand in stationary position for long periods of time
  5. Will work 30-37.5 hours per week, attendance required on scheduled days
  6. Fast-paced event environment (lifting and moving chairs, tables and trash)
  7. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to react positively with visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
  8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle ticket sales an maintain accurate records.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Proficiency in basic computer skills for processing transactions and using ticketing software.
  11. Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment preferred.
  12. Interest in history, cultural heritage, or museums is a plus!

This is a full-time, interim position with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the parks' operating schedule.

Pay Details: $12.50 per hour
