Job summary

Qualifications

• Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in hospitality, business, event planning.
• Demonstrated excellence in written communications skills.
• Ability to interact professionally in a corporate, non‑profit environment and guide communications and projects from inception through completion.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of Canva and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Event Logistics
• Support Tampa Bay’s Signature events: Go Red for Women, Heart Ball, and Heart Walk
• Assist with silent auction preparation, including managing donation forms, taking item photos, and writing item descriptions
• Assist with day/night of event operations, including set up, breakdown, and payments
• Participate in weekly logistics meetings to provide updates on assigned projects or tasks
• Opportunity to learn and be involved in event timeline tracking and vendor selection and contracting process
• Volunteer Management
• Manage a volunteer database and respond to volunteer inquiries with upcoming opportunities
• Marketing and Collateral
• Design or edit slide decks, one‑page overview documents, and other supplemental event materials
• Assist with preparing and mailing external communications
