Qualifications

  • Ability to interact professionally in a corporate, nonprofit environment and manage projects end-to-end.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail.
  • Reliable Wi‑Fi and transportation are required.
  • 20+ hours/week, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm; some nights/weekends for events.

Responsibilities

  • Event Logistics: support Tampa Bay’s signature events (Go Red for Women, Heart Ball, Heart Walk).
  • Assist with silent auction prep, donation forms, photos, and item descriptions.
  • Support day/night of event operations: setup, breakdown, payments.
  • Attend weekly logistics meetings and provide project updates.
  • Learn and participate in event timeline tracking and vendor contracting.
  • Volunteer Management: manage volunteer database and respond to inquiries.
  • Marketing and Collateral: design/edit slide decks and external communications.

Internship Overview:
  • Time Commitment: 25 hours per week

  • Location: 75% office and 25% remote in St. Petersburg office and Tampa Bay area for events.

Responsibilities
  • Event Logistics
  • Support Tampa Bay’s Signature events: Go Red for Women, Heart Ball, and Heart Walk
  • Assist with silent auction preparation, including managing donation forms, taking item photos, and writing item descriptions
  • Assist with day/night of event operations, including set up, breakdown, and sales and payments
  • Participate in weekly logistics meetings to provide updates on assigned projects or tasks
  • Opportunity to learn and be involved in event timeline tracking and vendor selection and contracting process
  • Volunteer Management
  • Manage a volunteer database and respond to volunteer inquiries with upcoming opportunities
  • Marketing and Collateral
  • Design or edit slide decks, one-page overview documents, and other supplemental event materials
  • Assist with preparing and mailing external communications
Qualifications
  • Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in hospitality, business, event planning,
  • Demonstrated excellence in written communications skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally in a corporate, non‑profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding communications and projects from inception through completion.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of Canva and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Minimum availability 20hrs/wk, M-F; nights & weekends as needed for signature events.
  • Required: Reliable Wi‑Fi connection and reliable transportation.
  • Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 9am-5pm.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
