Job summary

Sedgebrook is seeking an Events & Catering Manager in Savannah, GA to plan, organize, and oversee all catering and event activities involving Food & Beverage. The role collaborates with residents, dining leadership, and kitchen staff to deliver events with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities include directing all event operations, developing menus with kitchen staff, coordinating staffing with the Dining Room Manager, and ensuring a high-quality guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; ServSafe certification preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, club, hotel, or similar hospitality setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathize and connect with residents, visitors, peers, supervisors, and team members
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate all catering and event activities involving Food & Beverage
• Consult with residents and staff to determine event needs and preferences
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to develop menus and ensure all event requirements are met
• Collaborate with the Dining Room Manager to ensure proper staffing for all events
• Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown to ensure a high-quality experience
• Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality at all times
