Job summary

Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner is hiring an Events/Banquet Cook 3 to expertly prepare and execute food items for all banquet events, including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and special parties, following Hyatt standards.

The role requires strong communication, at least two years of line and fine dining experience, and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen. A culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs and standing up to 8 hours are required.

The Banquet Cook 3 position is an hourly position, responsible for the proper preparation and execution of food items required for all banquet events, including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and special parties according to Hyatt standards. This role may perform carving and other buffet attendant duties as required.

This culinary position requires good communication skills as well as at least two years of previous line and fine dining experience. A Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred. Candidates should be able to perform all basic and some intermediate cooking skills including preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying, broiling, sauteing, etc. This person may be required to give direction in the supervisor’s absence. Please note that this role requires the ability to multitask, be well organized, and demonstrate discipline.

The pay for this position is an hourly rate of $19.00. This position is also eligible to earn overtime.
