Job summary

Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner is hiring an Events/Banquet Cook 3 to expertly prepare and execute food items for all banquet events, including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and special parties, following Hyatt standards.

The role requires strong communication, at least two years of line and fine dining experience, and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen. A culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs and standing up to 8 hours are required.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• 3 years of previous line experience preferred, 2 years required.
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours, during shift.
• Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
• Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen.
• Requires minimal supervision and training.

Responsibilities

• The Banquet Cook 3 position is an hourly position, responsible for the proper preparation and execution of food items required for all banquet events.
• Including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and special parties according to Hyatt standards.
• This role may perform carving and other buffet attendant duties as required.
