Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research is seeking an energetic intern in nonprofit/event production, marketing, project management or related field in Pensacola, FL. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the silent auction and assist with guest lists, mailings, vendor communications and sponsor benefits.
  • Plan and coordinate administrative tasks, manage volunteer assignments and post-registration communications.
  • Engage with pop-up vendors, handle event materials and sponsor appreciation efforts.
  • Coordinate on-site logistics, run-of-show, setup and teardown support.
  • Capture real-time social media content during events and assist with post-event wrap-ups.

Rally's mission is to empower volunteers across the country to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures.

Overview:

We are seeking an energetic individual pursuing a future career in nonprofit, event production, marketing, project management or similar field. The candidate must be committed to Rally's mission and have a desire to serve our supporters and volunteers with compassion, integrity, and humility. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted opportunity for a candidate who wants to work hard and gain unparalleled experience in a nonprofit setting.

Selected interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the area(s) of: business and non-profit management; development and fundraising; marketing & PR; logistics; professionalism; and community relations. Students currently enrolled towards a degree in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Public Administration, Social Work or other related areas of study.

Our internship program is an immersive experience lasting 4-6 months averaging 15-20 hours per week working in our office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. A stipend is offered for the internship. Attendance at several of our special events is required. Additional in-office days may also be necessary.

Rally offers customized internships based on the individual's academic and career goals as well as availability.

  • Signature Events: Oversee the silent auction and assist with guest lists, mailings, vendor communications and logistics and sponsor benefits.
  • Planning & Administrative Coordination: Document planning meetings, manage volunteer assignments, organize packing inventories, and handle post-registration communications with holiday shopping pop-up vendors.
  • Vendor & Sponsor Engagement: Solicit in-kind dessert donations, serve as the primary liaison for pop-up vendors, distribute event materials/signage, and manage swag item pickup and post-event thank-you gifts.
  • On-Site Logistics & Operations: Execute run-of-show supply deliveries, manage digital media/slideshow setups, assist with guest check-in, and serve as an active event-day runner for setup, teardown, and vendor support.
  • Content Creation & Post-Event Wrap-Up: Capture real-time social media content during the event, facilitate post-event returns, and assist with committee thank-you luncheons and vendor/sponsor appreciation efforts.
