Job summary

The Event Work Crew 2 at Biltmore is seeking team members to assist with setup, strike, and support of weddings, functions, and other events. The role reports to the Event Operations Supervisors and may involve driving company vehicles and delivering/picking up smaller orders with minimal supervision.

You will support the Events crews and Engineering Services, perform general warehouse tasks, and help ensure safety, quality, and guest service during busy events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 1 year of prior experience in event setup and logistics preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing world class guest service.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Efficient and safe set up, maintenance, and break down of events equipment (staging, seating, tents, sound, lighting).
• Maintenance and cleaning of restrooms and other event-related locations.
• Provides support to groups involved in event logistics (Sales, Catering, Conference Services, Entertainment).
• General warehouse work: organizing, loading/unloading, cleaning, repairing equipment.
• Driving a company vehicle and delivering/picking up smaller orders with minimal supervision.

The Event work crew team will report to the Event Operations Supervisors and at times, will be expected to drive company vehicles and complete the delivery/pickup of smaller orders with little supervision. • Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.
• Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality and service.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task and adapt as required.
• Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.
• Proactive, and exercises good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.
• Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
• Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat/kneel.
• Must have a valid NC Driver's License with clean driving record & be at least 18 years of age.
