Job summary

Biltmore Workforce Management is seeking an Event Operations - Work Crew member to assist with setup/strike and on-site support for weddings, corporate events and functions. You will drive company vehicles, load and unload equipment, and help deliver, install and test rental items according to diagrams.

This role focuses on fit and finish, power and lighting, drapes, and tent setups. You will work with the Crew Lead to ensure safe operation of trucks, forklifts and lifts, while delivering

Job DescriptionThe Event Operations - Work Crew - 2 will primarily be responsible for assisting with the setup/strike and support of events (weddings, corporate events & functions) and other activities. This position will report daily to the Crew Lead/Event Supervisor/Manager and will be expected to drive company vehicles to complete the delivery/pickup/installation of smaller tasks with little to no supervision. Other duties include being responsible for loading and unloading trucks, cleaning and repairing equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Other duties may include providing general assistance and support to the department, leadership, and the company as required. Staff is cross-trained to learn the Tent Technician and Event Specialist roles. This is focused on the Event Specialist crew. Event Specialist: Their primary focus shall be on the fit & finish of events. This includes, but is not limited to, power & lighting, drapes (swags, liners, reveal walls, leg wraps & drapes, etc.), setting to diagram, forced and controlled air (heaters ... blow-ins & freestanding, fans, HVAC, etc.), skirting/wrapping & carpeting of stages. The Fit & Finish team is responsible for ensuring a venue/event is \"show ready\". Tent Technician: Their primary focus shall be on the setup/strike of tents and the bulk items under tent, such as stage and dance floor.Essential Job Duties1. All that are detailed in and for Event Crew 1, and …2. Capable of installing express/high peak/pop up style tents without supervision and supporting the team with larger installations.3. Properly and safely operate a box truck and pull a trailer as needed. Skilled in spotting other drivers/operators with the proper use of hand signals.4. Provide friendly, professional service to internal customers and guest.5. Load and unload tables, chairs, and other event/party rental items.6. Setup rental equipment and test/ensure quality matches company expectations upon arrival. Must be able to understand and execute direction given from a pull sheet, email, phone, etc.7. Rigging items that are 25lbs and under such as small chandeliers, bistro lighting, and other decor.8. Running and connecting power requirements up to 20 amps.9. Safely operating a warehouse forklift, scissor lift and any other equipment deemed necessary and fitting for their level and role.Qualifications1. High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred, but not required.2. At least one (1) year of prior experience working with event set up and logistics preferred.3. Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.4. Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.5. Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality, service, and safety.6. Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task and adapt as required.7. Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.8. Proactive, and exercises good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.9. Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.10.
