Job summary

Berry Center in Cypress, Texas seeks a Venue - Project & Event Crewperson to support events and manage stage setups and facility operations. This full-time role requires physical stamina and teamwork to ensure smooth event execution.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, setting up stage equipment and furniture, assisting with maintenance, and conducting pre/post event inspections. Must be reliable, able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Physically capable of bending, stooping, standing and walking in venues.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays with minimum notice.
• Valid Texas driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support events at the Berry Center.
• Set up and disassemble stage equipment, basketball floor, meeting room furniture, concourse set-ups and related gear.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and repairs of facility and equipment.
• Assist with pre/post event conversion inspections and document with checklists.
• Help keep facility clean, organized and functional.
• Open and close building as directed.
• Supervise part-time staff and contract labor.
• Work with other departments to operate Berry Center.
• Ensure regular attendance as an essential function.
