The Garden ALX in Alexandria, VA is seeking a part-time Venue Event Staffer. You will be the on-site representative ensuring events run smoothly, handling setup and cleanup, and ensuring services meet contract terms. Shifts occur during private events and report to the Event Coordinator.

We offer flexible scheduling with Friday–Sunday shifts and some weeknights. The role requires hospitality, strong communication, ability to work independently or in a team, and occasionally lifting 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must provide hospitable and friendly service to guests.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Able to work weekends and late hours as shifts occur.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and assist with setup/cleanup.

Responsabilités

• Open & close the building.
• Set up tables and chairs per layouts.
• Assist clients with venue needs (A/V, signage, etc.).
• Guest management and respond to inquiries.
• Sweep, mop, and wipe spaces; trash removal.
• Stock bathrooms with supplies.
• Maintain venue and organize storage.
• Occasional clerical tasks like calendar updates.
