Job summary

Penske Entertainment, owner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, is offering a Ticket Operations Intern role supporting IMS Ticket Office for major events, including the INDYCAR Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500. This internship provides hands-on exposure to ticketing operations and guest experiences.

You will learn SCORE ticketing, assist with sales, payments, and mailing of orders, and collaborate across departments during busy race weekends.

Qualifications

Superior customer service skills and service-oriented philosophy.
Strong knowledge of MS Office, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Innovative and critical thinker with problem solving skills and results orientation.
Effective communication and relationship building, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

Provide all guests with a positive first impression through superior guest service.
Interact with guests via telephone, face-to-face and email to determine needs and provide accurate event information.
Assist guests with ticket, parking, and product purchases across in-person, phone and email channels.
Handle payments accurately and balance batch totals with Financial Coordinator.
Operate IMS SCORE ticket system to process daily orders and fulfill mailed tickets.
Support flexible scheduling and assist with additional projects as assigned.
