Job summary

ProductionHUB in Seattle seeks an Audio Visual Technician - Video to deliver exceptional AV services at live corporate events, leveraging technical knowledge, hospitality, and up-selling skills.

You will set up and operate video switchers, recorders, PTZ cameras, streaming tools, and projectors, while leading onsite vendors and ensuring seamless event execution.

The role requires 3+ years of live event AV experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of live event Audio/Visual experience, with a focus on operation of video equipment in a live corporate event setting.
  • Familiarity with corporate event A/V positions and responsibilities is required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate video equipment as required by design and function of the event.
  • Lead onsite vendors and crew.
  • Onsite point of contact for all aspects of production on assigned events.
  • Communicate event objectives to contractors, venues & vendors.
  • Ensure proper storage and maintenance of A/V equipment.
  • Pickup, delivery and return of vendor A/V equipment.
  • Assist as needed with event design.

Job description

General Summary:

The Audio Visual Technician - Video is responsible for delivering exceptional audiovisual services to all of our clients in a live corporate event environment. You will be asked to utilize your technical knowledge, hospitality skills and up-selling techniques and always go beyond customer expectations. This position requires flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, and an acute ability to focus on details.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Video skills required
  • Setup and operation of video switchers (DataVideo, Ross, Blackmagic, Analog Way, etc.)
  • Setup and operation of video recorders
  • Setup and operation of PTZ cameras.
  • Setup and operation of streaming software and services (VMix, Teams, Zoom, etc)
  • Setup and operation of projectors and lenses
Production and Event roles
  • Set & strike equipment as required by design and function of the event.
  • Operate A/V equipment as required by design and function of the event.
  • Lead onsite vendors and crew.
  • Onsite point of contact for all aspects of production on assigned events.
  • Communicate event objectives to contractors, venues & vendors.
  • Ensure proper storage and maintenance of A/V equipment.
  • Pickup, delivery and return of vendor A/V equipment.
  • Maintain experience and training with A/V equipment.
  • Assist as needed with event design.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Must have a commitment to on-call responsibilities, necessitating the willingness to carry a cell phone for 24/7 access.

  • Driver’s License required

Preferred Equipment knowledge: Forklift, Scissor-lift, Boom-lift, Box trucks up to 24’

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The job can involve minimal sitting at a desk, standing, walking and using a computer. There is also a regular requirement for physical activity during event management. This includes standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing and have the ability to lift 50 pounds. The Audio Visual Technician should be comfortable with this blend of responsibilities and possess the physical stamina to actively participate in on-site event production.
