Job summary

Apex Entertainment in Syracuse is seeking an organized and energetic Event Supervisor to oversee a variety of events, from birthday parties to corporate functions. You will lead on-site operations, coordinate guest experiences, and supervise up to 20 staff per shift in a fast-paced entertainment venue.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple events with exceptional service standards, while adapting to a dynamic event environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, food & beverage, event coordination, or related field.
• Previous experience supervising or managing events preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to problem-solve quickly and remain calm under pressure; manage multiple priorities.
• Must have reliable transportation or a valid driver's license.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays; weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all scheduled events, including guest check-in, food & beverage service, attraction coordination, and event flow.
• Manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional service, food quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Ensure event details meet Apex Entertainment standards for setup, décor, service, attractions and guest expectations.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for guests and clients throughout their event experience.
• Proactively identify and resolve challenges to ensure successful events from start to finish.
• Handle guest concerns and provide timely, professional solutions.
• Lead and supervise up to 20 event team members per shift, providing direction and coaching.
• Communicate event details and updates with Food & Beverage, Attractions, Events, and Operations teams.
• Maintain accurate Event Orders in the CenterEdge POS system and make adjustments as needed.
• Complete event closeouts and process client payments accurately at event conclusion.
• Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations to review execution and guest satisfaction.
• Report event outcomes and feedback to the Events & Sales Manager.

Apex Entertainment is seeking an organized, energetic, and guest-focused Event Supervisor to join our team in Virginia Beach. In this leadership role, you will oversee the successful execution of a variety of events, including birthday parties, corporate functions, fundraisers, private celebrations, and special events.

The Event Supervisor is responsible for ensuring each event runs smoothly from guest arrival through final payment while delivering exceptional service and maintaining Apex Entertainment's high standards. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced, entertainment-focused environment.

What You'll Do

Event Operations & Execution

• Oversee the daily operations of all scheduled events, including guest check-in, food and beverage service, attraction coordination, and overall event flow.
• Manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional service standards, food quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all event details are executed according to Apex Entertainment standards, including room setup, décor, food and beverage service, attractions, and guest expectations.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for guests and clients throughout their event experience.
• Proactively identify and resolve challenges to ensure a successful event from start to finish.
• Handle guest concerns and provide timely, professional solutions.

Team Leadership & Communication

• Lead and supervise up to 20 event team members per shift, ensuring exceptional performance and guest service.
• Provide direction, support, and coaching to event staff throughout each shift.
• Communicate event details, priorities, and updates with Food & Beverage, Attractions, Events, and Operations teams.
• Maintain awareness of all events happening throughout the venue to effectively support guests and internal teams.
• Manage day-of staffing needs, including employee call-outs, schedule adjustments, and operational changes.

Event Administration & Quality Assurance

• Maintain accurate Event Orders within the CenterEdge Group POS system and make adjustments as needed.
• Complete event closeouts and process client payments accurately at the conclusion of each event.
• Conduct pre-event and post-event evaluations to review execution, guest satisfaction, and opportunities for improvement.
• Report event outcomes and feedback to the Events & Sales Manager.
• Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising or managing corporate events, private parties, banquets, or special events preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to problem-solve quickly and remain calm under pressure.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
• Must have reliable transportation or a valid driver's license.
