The ideal candidate has 3+ years of event planning experience, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality or related field preferred.
• 3+ years experience in event planning preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute community grand openings, realtor events, model home events and other marketing initiatives.
• Manage event logistics including timelines, vendors, budgets, permits, signage and catering.
• Coordinate setup and presentation of events reflecting brand standards.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Design Center, Construction and external vendors to support community launches.
• Assist with opening new communities by coordinating marketing readiness and events.
• Track budgets, invoices and vendor payments with accurate records.
• Evaluate event performance through attendance tracking, lead generation and post-event analysis.
• Maintain project schedules and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.

Job Description

David Weekley Homes is looking for an EXPERIENCED EVENTS SPECIALIST to join our Marketing Team in the Greater Houston, Texas area.

Our Marketing team is responsible for creating exceptional experiences that connect homebuyers with our communities and brand. The Events Specialist plays a key role in planning and executing events and supporting community marketing initiatives that drive traffic and sales.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute community grand openings, realtor events, model home events, homeowner appreciation events and other marketing initiatives
• Manage event logistics including timelines, vendor coordination, budgets, permits, signage, rentals, catering, entertainment and on-site execution
• Coordinate the setup, maintenance and overall presentation of events to ensure they consistently reflect David Weekley Homes' brand standards
• Work closely with Marketing Coordinator, Sales, Design Center, Construction, Land, Purchasing and external vendors to support successful community launches and marketing campaigns
• Assist with opening new communities by coordinating marketing readiness, events and/or promotional activities
• Track event budgets, invoices and vendor payments while maintaining accurate records
• Evaluate event performance through attendance tracking, lead generation, post-event analysis and sales conversion to identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain project schedules and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Build positive working relationships with internal team members, vendors, and community partners while delivering an exceptional customer experience

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in event planning preferred
• College degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality or related field preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Creative problem-solving skills and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new marketing and project management software
• Establish strong working relationships with Sales, Construction, vendors, community partners and other David Weekley Homes team members
• Effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines and priorities while maintaining a high level of organization
• Coordinate vendors and service providers while ensuring quality, timeliness and budget expectations are met
• Exercise sound judgment, adapt quickly to changing priorities and resolve issues with professionalism
• Work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
• Occasionally work evenings or weekends in support of community events
• Travel throughout the Greater Houston area to support community events
