Job summary

David Weekley Homes is seeking an EXPERIENCED EVENTS SPECIALIST to join the Marketing Team in the Greater Houston, Texas area. The role plans and executes community events, supports campaigns, and drives traffic and sales through engaging experiences.

The position is on-site in Houston with responsibilities spanning coordination, budgeting, vendor management and cross-functional teamwork to deliver brand-aligned events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in event planning preferred.
• College degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality or related field preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Creative problem-solving skills and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new marketing and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute community grand openings, realtor events, model home events, homeowner appreciation events and other marketing initiatives.
• Manage event logistics including timelines, vendor coordination, budgets, permits, signage, rentals, catering, entertainment and on-site execution.
• Coordinate the setup, maintenance and overall presentation of events to ensure they reflect brand standards.
• Work with Marketing, Sales, Design Center, Construction, Land, Purchasing and vendors to support launches and campaigns.
• Assist with opening new communities by coordinating marketing readiness, events and promotions.
• Track event budgets, invoices and vendor payments with accurate records.
• Evaluate event performance through attendance tracking, lead generation, post-event analysis and sales conversion.

Our Marketing team is responsible for creating exceptional experiences that connect homebuyers with our communities and brand. The Events Specialist plays a key role in planning and executing events and supporting community marketing initiatives that drive traffic and sales.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute community grand openings, realtor events, model home events, homeowner appreciation events and other marketing initiatives


• Manage event logistics including timelines, vendor coordination, budgets, permits, signage, rentals, catering, entertainment and on-site execution


• Coordinate the setup, maintenance and overall presentation of events to ensure they consistently reflect David Weekley Homes' brand standards


• Work closely with Marketing Coordinator, Sales, Design Center, Construction, Land, Purchasing and external vendors to support successful community launches and marketing campaigns


• Assist with opening new communities by coordinating marketing readiness, events and/or promotional activities


• Track event budgets, invoices and vendor payments while maintaining accurate records


• Evaluate event performance through attendance tracking, lead generation, post-event analysis and sales conversion to identify opportunities for improvement


• Maintain project schedules and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment


• Build positive working relationships with internal team members, vendors, and community partners while delivering an exceptional customer experience

• Travel throughout the Greater Houston area to support community events
