Job summary

Hyatt Regency Columbus is seeking a Full-Time Event Set-Up Houseperson to support event setup and tear-down for conferences and banquets. You will work closely with Events teams, assist with moving tables and chairs, and help ensure flawless guest service in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role demands stamina, teamwork, and a positive attitude, with evenings, weekends, and holidays possible. Hyatt offers a range of benefits and a friendly, values-driven workplace in downtown Columbus.

Qualifications

• Desire to satisfy guests in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Physical stamina to lift 25lbs+, stand/walk.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the set-up and tear-down processes of all event functions at Hyatt
• Works closely with the Events and Event Services departments to ensure exceptional guest service results
• Requires continuous walking, standing, and lifting of tables, chairs, and other event related equipment
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and potential holidays
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a team oriented environment
• Maintain excellent communication and coordination with all hotel departments
