Job summary

Biltmore in Asheville, NC is seeking an Event Operations Crew member to support setup/strike and event execution. You will drive, load, unload, and install smaller tasks, ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced venue environment.

You will be cross-trained for Tent Technician and Event Specialist duties, focusing on fit & finish, power, lighting and decor to ensure every venue looks show-ready for weddings and corporate events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year experience in event setup and logistics preferred.
• World class internal/external guest service mindset.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality, service, and safety.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; multi-task as required.
• Ability to take direction and execute instructions successfully.
• Proactive with good judgment; troubleshoot as needed.
• Operate in a dynamic guest service environment and align with Biltmore standards.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 19 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup/strike and support of events (weddings, corporate events & functions).
• Drive company vehicles for delivery, pickup, and installation of smaller tasks.
• Load/unload trucks, clean and repair equipment, maintain a clean workspace.
• Provide friendly, professional service to internal customers and guests.
• Load/unload tables, chairs, and other event rental items.
• Set up rental equipment and verify quality matches company expectations.
• Rigging for decor and setting up power up to 20 amps as required.
• Safely operate warehouse forklift, scissor lift and other equipment as needed.
• Contribute to cross-training for Tent Technician and Event Specialist roles.
• Follow pull sheets, emails or phone instructions and execute accordingly.
• Collaborate with team to ensure venues/events are 'show ready'.
