Job summary

Lynn University is seeking a Mover to assist with event setup and breakdown, moving furniture and equipment for university functions. The role supports daily moving needs and requires safe handling of items and adherence to supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, arranging furniture for classrooms and events, maintaining storage areas, and performing housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, safe work environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, move and stack tables, chairs and boxes of supplies (≤140 chars).
• Be able to pull and push large furniture storage racks (≤140 chars).
• Ability to climb a ladder for storage and event related purposes (≤140 chars).
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment (≤140 chars).

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads event-related furniture, props and materials onto and off trucks, ensuring padding and ropes are used to prevent damage.
• Relocates chairs, tables and furniture as instructed by supervisors.
• Sets up furniture for classrooms, residence halls and events on weekdays and occasionally on weekends.
• Maintains safe and organized storage areas and inventory of event items.
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Uses safety equipment properly and reports hazards.
