University of Illinois Chicago is hiring Assembly Hall Attendants for Credit Union 1 Arena. This on-site role supports event setups, cleaning, security, and coordination of services for arena operations in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and assists with event setups and facility conversions, including arranging furniture and equipment, setting stages, and installing the basketball floor; follows diagrams and timelines; heavy lifting may be required.
• Performs routine facility cleaning and restocking; completes walkthroughs, addresses safety concerns, and verifies work.
• Maintains and stores furniture, equipment, and materials; inspects items before/after use and reports damage.
• Maintains building security and protects property; monitors event areas and reports safety concerns.
• Ensures rooms and storage areas are opened/secured as assigned; communicates updates and completes end-of-shift reports.
• Coordinates subcontractors and service providers; monitors compliance and reports needs.
• Enforces safety procedures and building regulations; conducts safety briefings and escalates issues.
• Trains and supervises student employees; coordinates staffing, monitors attendance, and reports concerns.
