Job summary

City of Schertz is seeking an Event Attendant to support Civic Center, Community Center, and North Center events with facility cleaning, setup, and customer service. Under supervision, you will ensure clean, safe spaces and coordinate with renters to meet their event requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, setting up tables and AV equipment, handling beverages, reporting damages, and following SOPs. Flexibility to work varied hours based on booked events is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED, and one (1) year of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting all areas.
• Set up and break down for meetings and events, including furniture and AV equipment.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, and prepare reports as needed.
• Ensure facilities and surrounding areas are clean and neat at all times.
• Serve as primary contact for renters during events to coordinate setup and safety.
• Operate lighting, audio/visual, HVAC, and electrical systems; manage parking and entrances.
• Document damages or policy violations and prepare incident reports.
• Provide beverage service and catering support as required.
• Follow SOPs and City Employee Handbook; participate in training.
• Schedule flexibility to work AM/PM hours based on events.
