Job summary

City Of Collinsville is seeking a part-time Site Supervisor to oversee facility rentals at the Activity Center. You will serve as the primary on-site representative during events, provide customer service, enforce policies, coordinate logistics and ensure guest safety and City property protection.

Working hours include weeknights and weekends and will vary with rental activity. Open/close the facility, conduct inspections, supervise setup, address issues, and coordinate with Parks and Recreation

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in recreation, event coordination, facility management, hospitality or customer service preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as on-site supervisor for facility rentals, events, meetings and community functions.
  • Open and close the facility according to procedures.
  • Perform pre-event and post-event inspections and document damages or maintenance needs.
  • Monitor activities for compliance with facility rules and rental agreements.
  • Verify rental agreements and room setups are properly executed.
  • Provide exceptional service to renters, guests, vendors and the public.
  • Address and resolve concerns and operational issues professionally.
  • Coordinate with Parks and Recreation, custodial, maintenance and vendors as needed.
  • Enforce occupancy limits and emergency procedures for safety.
  • Complete incident reports and notify staff of emergencies or violations.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness during events and ensure spaces are left in good condition.
  • Assist with setup and teardown of tables, chairs and related needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing facility rentals and ensuring the successful operation of events held at the Activity Center. This part-time position serves as the primary on-site representative during rentals, providing customer service, enforcing facility policies, coordinating event logistics, monitoring facility use, and ensuring the safety and security of guests and City property.

Working hours will include weeknights and weekends. Hours will vary based on consistency of activity center rentals.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the on-site supervisor for facility rentals, special events, meetings, receptions, and community functions.
  • Open and close the facility in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conduct pre-event and post-event inspections to ensure facility readiness and document any damage or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor activities to ensure compliance with facility rules, regulations, and rental agreements.
  • Verify rental agreements, room setups, and event requirements are properly executed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to renters, guests, vendors, and the public.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and operational issues in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate with Parks and Recreation staff, custodial personnel, maintenance crews, and outside vendors as necessary.
  • Ensure facility safety by enforcing occupancy limits, emergency procedures, and applicable City policies.
  • Complete incident reports and notify appropriate staff of emergencies, accidents, damages, or policy violations.
  • Monitor facility cleanliness throughout events and ensure spaces are left in acceptable condition.
  • Assist with setup and teardown activities including tables, chairs, and other event-related needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in recreation, event coordination, facility management, hospitality, customer service, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
