Event Set-Up Team Member

Job Location: Hope Valley Country Club – Durham, NC 27707

Position Type: Part‑Time (Less than 30 hours a week)

Salary: $15.00 – $18.00 hourly

The Event Setup Team Member is responsible for preparing event spaces throughout the club for member events, weddings, golf tournaments, banquets, and special functions. This role ensures all rooms and event spaces are properly set, clean, organized, and ready to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

Event Setup & Breakdown

• Set up tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, buffet tables, and décor.
• Arrange rooms according to event diagrams and setup sheets.
• Break down event spaces following functions.
• Reset spaces for future events and daily club operations.

Event Support

• Assist the banquet and events team during weddings, tournaments, and club functions.
• Help ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
• Support other departments when needed during large club events.

Facility Appearance

• Vacuum and clean banquet rooms, hallways, and event spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas.
• Ensure event spaces are polished, professional, and guest‑ready.
