Job summary

Las Cruces Convention Center is seeking capable event staff to provide exceptional customer service, direct guests, and assist with event operations. You will be a team player supporting setup, crowd control, and safety across busy events.

The role requires flexibility, strong English communication, and the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a high-energy venue setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED certificate.
• Ability to work individually but mostly as a team is essential.
• Demonstrate exceptional skills in customer relations, communications, problem solving, and detail oriented.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
• Work in a fast-paced work environment and undertake multiple tasks at the same time.
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able speak, read, and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and direct guests to concessions, restrooms, meeting rooms, and other destinations.
• Serve as ticket seller or usher for events requiring these services and assist with last-minute pre-event needs.
• Assist with crowd control and help ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors and others on the premises.
• Report problems to the Event Services Manager and assist in emergencies or disturbances.
• Support the Event Set Up Team with setup and teardown activities when needed.
