Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking energetic, customer-focused part-time servers for the Dacotah Bank Center in Brookings, SD. You will support banquets, weddings, conferences, and arena events, delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced setting.

The role offers $11.85–$16.00 per hour, tip eligibility, and for part-time staff a 401(k) plan with matching. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Banquet/service, concessions, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Cash handling and POS experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Awareness Certification, or ability to obtain within stated timeframes.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Comfortable with both banquet and concession operations as needed.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during events.
• Serve food and beverages at banquets, weddings, conferences, and other catered events.
• Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms and service areas.
• Take orders, deliver meals, and respond promptly to guest requests.
• Operate concession stands as cashier when needed and handle POS transactions.
• Ensure proper food safety and health regulations are followed.
• Assist with opening and closing duties for event operations.
