Job summary

Box Elder Events Center in Box Elder, SD is seeking experienced event staff to support our growing venue. You will meet and greet guests, coordinate banquet details with the host, and supervise staff to ensure smooth service for diverse events.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to carry trays of 25+ pounds.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of banquet and food service techniques and standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Ensure every event meets and/or exceeds information on BEO.
• Coordinate with the event host on all aspects of the banquet function.
• Check banquet rooms, service, and kitchen areas for cleanliness and proper setup.
• Oversee all aspects of assigned banquet function activities and timing.
• Supervise and train staff in setup, service, and duties.
• Discuss last-minute changes with the banquet team.
• Coordinate details with banquet and kitchen staff.
• Monitor banquet personnel performance.
• Assist in pre-shift and pre-function meetings.
• Guide and motivate staff and set performance standards.
