Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking friendly Event Services Staff to support University of Iowa events in Iowa City, IA. This part-time role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service and safe, orderly event experiences.

You will greet attendees, assist with setup, answer questions, guide guests, and collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operations while upholding high professional standards and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and able to work a variety of event hours.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Customer service experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and calm under pressure.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist attendees with a friendly, helpful demeanor.
• Assist with event setup, equipment arrangement, and signage.
• Monitor areas for cleanliness and policy compliance.
• Answer questions about the event, facilities, and amenities.
• Direct attendees to seating, restrooms, concessions, and exits.
• Resolve inquiries and issues professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with crowd control to maintain safety and enjoyment.
• Uphold company policies and a high standard of service.
