Job summary

ISA seeks an Event Assistant/Coordinator to support the Director of Marketing in planning and executing outdoor and sporting events, including major ISA conferences and championships. You will coordinate logistics, vendors, registrations, and attendee experiences across ISA events in Atlanta.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities, with fluency in English and a passion for delivering excellent event experiences.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or 2+ years related experience preferred.
  • Experience planning outdoors or sporting events preferred.
  • Fluent in English; both verbal and written.
  • Additional languages a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing events such as ISA Leadership Workshop, ISA Annual International Conference, and Tree Climbing Championship Series.
  • Coordinate on-site vendor and supplier relationships.
  • Provide superior customer service to attendees and partners at ISA events.
  • Collaborate with ISA staff and committees as appropriate.

Job description

  • Event Assistant/Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing
  • Supports the planning and execution of events such as the ISA Leadership Workshop, the ISA Annual International Conference and the ISA’s Tree Climbing Championship Series
  • Assists in the coordination of other ISA (internal and external) related and/or contracted meetings held throughout the year.
  • Manage Vendors and supplier relationships onsite.
  • Provides superior levels of customer service to promote a positive customer experience for all attendees and partners associated with ISA activities.
  • Collaborates with other ISA staff members and/or committees as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Post- secondary degree in a related degree program from an accredited college or university preferred and/or at least two years of related experience
  • Experience planning and executing outdoors or sporting events preferred
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, demonstrated to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with registrations systems/administration preferred.
