Responsibilities

  • Aid event managers in serving guests during banquet functions to ensure a positive guest experience.

  • Greet and welcome guests.

  • Replenish beverages as needed.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Reset the event room per supervisor's specifications for the next function.
  • Maintain attendance consistent with company policies and relevant laws.
  • Adapt to changing duties as required.

Event Server

GreatHorse

Position Summary:

The Event Server is responsible for providing excellent service to guests while serving their food and beverage throughout the event taking place at the venue. The Banquet Server is also responsible for helping prepare for the event, cleaning up after the event, greeting guests, and checking in with them throughout the event.

Your Role:
  • Aid event managers in the serving of guests during banquet functions to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Set up event room as requested by supervisor to include glassware, silverware, and linen.
  • Attend event meeting before event kickoff to learn function particulars, including guest expectations.
  • Responsible for assigned station, appearance, and sanitation.
  • Greet and welcome guests.
  • Respond to guest requests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Serve the beverage and food in the appropriate order and in tune with the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
  • Quickly remove dishes as guests finish each meal.
  • Abide by all corporate acts, laws, and requirements about serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Replenish beverages when necessary.
  • Check in with guests to make sure they are satisfied.
  • Reset the event room in accordance with the supervisor's specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for other functions.
  • Maintain reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
Your Skills:
  • Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Physical ability and stamina to manage, carry, and/or lift items to forty pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around for the entire shift.
  • Knowledge of beverage ingredients
