Bartender
Position Summary

The bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality beverage production and service to our members and guests. In addition to supporting all Club venues, events, and fellow team members in delivering quality beverages and service, the Bartender maintains the bar, bar service areas, and related storerooms in a neat, organized, and secure manner. Must follow the proper procedures for stocking, cleaning, and ensuring opening/closing duties are performed to ensure bar readiness at all times.

Your Role
  • Maintain positive and enthusiastic interaction with members, guests, and staff.
  • Monitor the members' and guests' experiences.
  • Take appropriate action to ensure the best customer service.
  • Serve food and alcoholic beverages to members and their guests.
  • Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes.
  • Confirm guest orders, including any special assistance or requests, anticipate guest needs, and offer suggestions.
  • Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking items, cleaning the pool bar area, workstation, etc.
  • Respond timely and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Provide knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixers, including original tastes and preparation methods.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of beers, wines, spirits, and mixed drinks.
  • Ensure charges are applied properly to members' accounts.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Cut and prepare fruits and other beverage garnishments.
  • Protect the image of GreatHorse at all times with a positive attitude and exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Maintain reasonable, regular, and punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
Your Skills
  • Experience in a restaurant/bar/country club setting is preferred.
  • Must be outgoing and have strong customer service skills.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Multi-tasking abilities.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and perform job functions with diligence, speed, and accuracy.
