Job summary

Sphere Entertainment Co. is hiring an Event Security Officer to ensure a safe and secure environment during events and daily operations at our Las Vegas venue.

This role requires alertness in a fast-paced setting with large crowds, desert climate, and high sensory exposure. You will greet and screen guests, monitor access points, manage crowd flow, escort VIPs, respond to incidents, and collaborate with law enforcement and venue teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security, military, law enforcement, or venue-based crowd control experience preferred.
• Prior stadium/arena or hospitality-based security experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work outdoors in desert conditions and extreme heat.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen guests, employees, and vendors using screening methods in compliance with security protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for restricted zones.
• Manage crowd flow during ingress/egress and assist in high-traffic areas.
• Conduct patrols around perimeter, parking lots, loading docks and high-risk zones.
• Assist in monitoring safety of guests and employees.
• Escort VIPs and staff through secure pathways.
• Identify loitering, unauthorized activity, and media access issues.
• Support emergency response procedures including evacuations and shelter-in-place.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and venue teams during incidents.
• Complete incident reports and statements documenting security activities.
• Utilize radios and access control systems as directed.
• Maintain professional guest engagement and de-escalation techniques.
