Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Concessions Worker for the Bismarck Event Center. The role involves preparing and serving concession items, beverages, and handling cash transactions with accuracy.

You will ensure quality presentation, maintain stocked work areas, and assist guests with requests while adhering to safety and age-restriction rules for alcoholic beverages. The part-time position offers an hourly wage of $15.25 and is eligible for tips.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three or more months' experience in the food service industry is preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred or willingness to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists in ensuring all food & beverage products are fully stocked in designated locations.
• Assist in building orders, preparing food, and packaging food, and knowledge in all areas of concessions operations.
• Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating low-stock items to management.
• Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Position Summary

The Concessions Worker prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.25 and is tip eligible.
