Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security professional in Pullman, WA. This part-time role blends event staff duties with security tasks to create a safe, enjoyable attendee experience. Excellent communication and a customer-focused mindset are key.

Responsibilities include monitoring access points, assisting attendees, and coordinating with security teams to maintain order. Eligible candidates are 18+, with a HS diploma, and able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Some college education is preferred.
• Previous experience in event security, law enforcement, or a related field is advantageous.
• Strong physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays per event schedule.
• Possession of a valid security license or willingness to obtain one if required by local regulations.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup, including equipment and signage placement.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Provide friendly customer service by helping attendees with inquiries and directions.
• Collaborate with event staff and security to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist in crowd management and control entry/exit flow.
• Respond promptly to security incidents following established protocols.
• Enforce event rules and safety procedures across areas.
• Resolve attendee concerns calmly and professionally.
• Follow company policies to deliver high standards of service and security.
