Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services is seeking part-time security staff for events in Norfolk, VA. You will perform bag checks, enforce access control, and assist guests while delivering excellent customer service at venues such as stadiums and convention centers.

The role supports event day operations, requires evenings and weekend availability, and offers ongoing training and career growth opportunities within a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in event day preparation and execution.
• Scan tickets, verify wristbands/badges, and direct venue traffic.
• Screen guests at entry using bag searches, metal detector or wand.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring security breaches.
• Respond to crowd control issues and escort unruly guests when necessary.
• Provide directions and assistance to enhance guest experience.
