Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking part-time Event Staff to support ticketing, welcoming and ushering guests at venues in Norfolk, VA. No experience required; flexible evenings and weekends with weekly pay.

Responsibilities include directing foot traffic, providing friendly customer service, and maintaining venue cleanliness and order. Must be 18+, able to pass background checks, and commit to overtime if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test may be required.
• Be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Direct entry, may collect/scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, direct traffic.
• Demonstrate understanding of venue policies and regulations.
• Greet guests warmly at entrance and thank them as they depart.
• Provide guests with directions and suggestions to enhance their experience.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, clear and respectful manner.
