Job summary

Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland is seeking an Event Sales Manager to maximize facility rental revenue from corporate and private events. You will own the sales pipeline, develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and hand off signed events to operations for execution, working closely with Marketing and Levy Restaurants.

This full-time exempt role requires a proactive mindset, a minimum of four years in sales or events, and an associate degree or higher in a related field.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred in marketing, sales, business, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in sales, marketing or special events.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual sales plan to maximize venue revenue.
• Manage pipeline, prospect new business, and close rental contracts.
• Coordinate with Marketing and Levy Restaurants on packages.
• Provide revenue forecasts and collaborate with departments.
• Support day-of-event activities as needed.
