Job summary

Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) is seeking a Public Safety Ambassador to patrol the facility, enforce venue rules, respond to emergencies, and deliver a safe, welcoming environment for performers, staff, and guests. The role involves visible security presence and event support across BJCC venues.

The position requires at least three years in security or related fields, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Alabama driver license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in security, military or law enforcement, with one year face-to-face customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid State of Alabama Driver License.
• Ability to think quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas in a visible manner to enforce rules and respond to emergencies.
• Provide proactive customer service and assist guests.
• Verify credentials and ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted zones.
• Complete incident reports and logs (DARs, daily activity reports).
• Communicate with Security Command and Event Management personnel as needed.
