Job summary

Explora in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Rentals Assistant to handle booking rental services for internal and external clients, support operations and logistics for events, and serve as the point of contact for vendors.

You will assist with exhibit setup, teardown, and closing, help with equipment maintenance, participate in security operations, and collaborate with Rentals Manager and facilities staff. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service.
• Well-developed organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn Google Suites and Cogran.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand and walk approximately 70% of the time and perform tasks such as sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling materials, pulling, carrying, and pushing.
• Capability to lift materials and equipment up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Effective eye-and-hand coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Booking rental services for internal and external clients while upholding Explora’s customer service standards.
• Supporting operations and logistics for rentals, including setting up and tearing down events according to Work Orders.
• Serving as point of contact for event vendors and assisting with exhibit setup, teardown, and closing.
• Assisting with equipment maintenance as a backup to the Rentals Assistant.
• Participating in security operations, including fire alarms and emergency situations.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and composure in fast-paced environments.
• Working evenings and weekends as needed.
• Collaborating with the Rentals Manager, Administrative Assistant, Rentals Assistant, Event Staff, and Facilities Department.
• Complying with all operational policies related to safety.
