Job summary

City of Baltimore is seeking a dedicated professional to provide event management services and administrative support for the Baltimore Convention Center’s Sales and Services department. The role includes coordinating logistics, schedules, client communication, and preparing key reports for leadership.

Responsibilities cover internal and smaller meetings, tours, and post-event follow ups, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork. A bachelor’s degree and one year of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business management, facility management, hospitality, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: One year of experience in event management, business management, facility management, hospitality, or related field.
  • Equivalency: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides logistical planning and event coverage to internal events, one day events, multiple day events with typically less than 100 people or in conjunction with ICW events that occur with larger conventions assigned.
  • Provides back-up event coverage and assistance to the CSMs on events as assigned.
  • Assists with conducting tours of the facility for groups and other interested parties.
  • Implements event related planning, scheduling, and sending client reminder notices.
  • Assists with pre‑and‑post walkthroughs when needed.
  • Communicates with clients on behalf of Convention Services Managers.
  • Completes and disseminates information to proper departments, both internally and externally as assigned.
