Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an Event Planning Manager for Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego to service sales bookings and act as the liaison between Meeting Planners and hotel staff.

The role involves selling, contracting and servicing affiliate groups while managing room blocks, F&B and A/V needs, and ensuring flawless on-site event execution at a AAA 4-Diamond property on the San Diego waterfront.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Minimum 1–3 years of hotel event sales or event planning experience.
• Proficiency in general computer knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Sales agreements, Food & Beverage and A/V needs is a plus.

We are looking for the very best to join our AAA 4-Diamond Hotel, featured in the Top 10 of all Meeting Hotels in the United States per Cvent.

The Event Planning Manager's primary focus is servicing sales bookings. This position acts as the liaison between Meeting Planners and the hotel staff. The ideal candidate will sell, contract and service affiliate groups. Responsibilities include: administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick up, billing instructions and final review. Event Planning Managers also are the on-site contacts and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $ $70,600 to $88,100 . This is the pay range for this position that Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment. Refined verbal and written communication skills
• A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
• Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and beable to handle a fast paced environment
• Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
• Preferred candidate has completed PSS or equivalent training
