Job summary

Hyatt Regency Morristown at Headquarters Plaza in Morristown, NJ is seeking an Entry Level Manager for Catering/Event Planning. You will support Sales bookings and serve as liaison between Meeting Planners and hotel staff, ensuring seamless execution of events.

The role offers a starting salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year with comprehensive benefits including complimentary hotel nights, tuition reimbursement, 401K, free parking, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to satisfy guests in a fast-paced environment.
• 1-3 years in hotel event sales/planning or similar.
• Proficient in general computer use.
• Highly detailed, organized, and able to handle fast-paced work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Meeting Planners and hotel staff.
• Administer Sales agreements and document F&B and AV needs.
• Manage room blocks, pick-up, and billing instructions.
• Provide on-site contact for smooth event execution.
• Ensure accurate and timely final event reviews.

The Event Planning Manager's primary focus is servicing Sale bookings. This position acts as the liaison between Meeting Planners and the hotel staff. Responsibilities include: administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick up, billing instructions and final review. Event Planning Managers also are the on-site contacts and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events.

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year. Additional benefits include the following.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
• Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and beable to handle a fast paced environment
• Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
• Prefer candidate has completed PSS or equivalent training
