Job summary

The Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Spa in Greater Palm Springs is seeking an Event Planning Manager to coordinate sales bookings and on-site event execution. You will liaise with meeting planners and hotel staff, ensuring all details from contracts to F&B and A/V needs are handled efficiently.

The role focuses on delivering seamless events, managing room blocks, billing, and final reviews while serving as the on-site point of contact for flawless execution.

Qualifications

• Desire to satisfy guests; refined verbal and written communication.
• 1–3 years hotel event sales or planning experience preferred.
• Proficient in general computer knowledge.
• Detail oriented, organized and able to handle a fast-paced environment.
• Two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program preferred.
• Preferred candidate has completed PSS or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Be the liaison between Meeting Planners and hotel staff to service sales bookings.
• Administer sales agreements and detail all Food, Beverage and A/V needs.
• Manage room blocks, pickup, billing instructions and final reviews.
• On-site contact ensuring the smooth execution of all events.

Be part of our team as Event Planning Manager at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Spa. Located in Greater Palm Springs, Grand Hyatt features 531 newly transformed luxury guestrooms, suites, casita-style villas, and two brand new Celebrity Chef food & beverage venues. Set within the perfect backdrop of scenic Indian Wells, this property is a destination favorite as it is positioned to take hospitality to a new level in the destination.

The Event Planning Manager's primary focus is servicing Sale bookings. This position acts as the liaison between Meeting Planners and the hotel staff. Responsibilities include: administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick up, billing instructions and final review. Event Planning Managers also are the on-site contacts and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events.

The salary range for this position is $70,304 - $77,000 This is the pay range for this position that Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
