Job summary

UAB seeks a Specialist Events Parking Coordinator to coordinate parking and transportation for campus events, visitors, and programs. You will develop event plans, manage operations, and serve as a liaison for campus partners to deliver safe, efficient, and customer-focused service.

The role supports Transportation and Parking operations administratively, with responsibilities from planning through event-day execution, and may involve front-office duties as needed to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Facilities Management, Event Management, or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required.
• Driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license, be at least 21 years old, and have at least 3 years of driving experience with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Events Operations: Develop and implement detailed parking plans for special events; coordinate with organizers, facility management, and internal departments; manage reservations and records.
• Customer Service: Serve as primary contact for event-related parking inquiries; provide timely, accurate, professional assistance; communicate options clearly.
• Systems and Data Management: Utilize parking management software (T2 Systems) and GIS tools; perform data analysis with Excel and reporting tools.
• Financial Responsibility: Maintain event-related records for billing, invoicing, and reconciliation; analyze utilization for efficiency.
• Policy Compliance: Help develop and improve parking policies and operating procedures for events; ensure safety and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
