Job summary

AMR in Indianapolis provides emergency medical services for events at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This seasonal, part-time position covers mostly weekend events and relies on the availability submitted by staff and event needs.

The Special Events Paramedic responds to emergent and non-emergent requests for medical assistance and delivers high-quality patient care following established protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some advanced education preferred.
• Paramedic license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid State Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best action and protocol.
• Utilize medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced care.
• Provide patient care according to protocols and safety requirements.
• Lift and move patients to provide optimum care.
• Act as team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Maintain required certifications.
• Document patient care and billing accurately.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Report any negative patient or customer interactions to the supervisor.
• Assess changes in eye/skin coloration related to condition and treatment.
• Adhere to company policies and information security policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
